Betta fish habitat

Habitat is a life place where  betta fish will move in his life. In suitable habitat, betta fish can grow and reproduce optimally. The waters of the corresponding characteristic is indicated by several parameters such as acidity (pH) of water, water temperature, and hardness.

In nature, betta fish found in tropical and live in rivers, swamps, rice fields, as well as other shallow freshwater. If measured, such waters generally have several characteristics, namely pH 6.5 to 7.5, water hardness range 5-12 dH, and water temperature 24-30o C.

Betta fish have additional breathing apparatus called a labyrinth. With a labyrinth, betta fish can take and store more oxygen. Therefore, betta fish can live in relatively calm waters and oxygen-poor. Understandably, the quiet waters of dissolved oxygen levels tend to have a bit because the water does not flow. The water that flows tend to be split so that the surface oxygen of air can easily enter the body of water.

The fastest fish in the world

Sailfish are two species of fish in the genus Istiophorus who live in warm waters of the oceans of the world. Many sailfish blue-gray and has a dorsal fin erect a screen similar to the ship. Another important characteristic is the elongated snout, like a swordfish snout. Sailfish are the fastest fish, can swim up to speeds of 110 kilometers per hour

Dorsal fin usually folded when swimming, but could rise if the fish screen feels threatened or is being excited, making it appear larger than actual size. This strategy can also be observed at meals, when a group of sailfish use their sails fins to "herding" a group of fish or squid.

blue whale

The blue whale is the largest animal that ever existed on earth. The length of the blue whale reaches 33 feet and weighed about 180 tons. Blue whales live in almost all oceans of the world. For over 40 years of blue whales were hunted to near extinction by hunting whales to be protected by the international community in 1966. A 2002 report estimated there were 5,000 to 12,000 blue whales worldwide

 And interestingly, the blue whale tongue is heavier than the scores of elephants
